John, founder of HYPE, talking with guests at an event
John Roche

The story

It all started with one meetup.

In 2025, I hosted 52 events — one for every week of the year.

Hackathons, meetups, dinners, conferences and more across New York, London, Sydney, Paris, and San Francisco.

I've seen the benefits of the IRL community first hand. Building human-first events is one of the best ways to stand out in the busy AI world.

That turned into HYPE: a community of 2,500 founders and builders in London and across Europe.

Now we partner with tech companies to co-host the events they come to. It's both our event — we bring the room, you bring the brand, and we run the whole thing.

What cities do you cover?

London is home — that's where the community lives and where most events happen. We run events across wider Europe too: Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Lisbon and Helsinki.

Do you invite the guests?

We do. It's both our event, so the invite goes out to our community of 2,500 founders and builders — and we handle every RSVP. Tell us the room you want and we'll curate the final list with you. If you have people of your own to add, they're welcome too.

What happens to the guest list?

You get it — names, roles and next steps within 48 hours of the event. Community members stay part of our community, and anyone who opts in to hear from you is yours to follow up directly.

How far ahead do you need?

Dinners and meetups can be live in about three weeks. Side events around the big conferences depend on the calendar, so the earlier you lock it in, the better.

Does it run as our event or yours?

Both — it's a collab. Co-branded and co-hosted: your name on it alongside ours, in front of a room we bring. That's what makes people show up, and what makes it feel less like a pitch.

Let's host together.
